The Devon Writing zip file is based on a particularly successful inset organised by Devon LA. It includes some very useful ideas for department discussion and, most importantly, it contains lots of practical material to support writing at KS3.
The Writing Scrutiny Checklist is a pro-forma version of a pro-forma devised by the Bristol consultancy and used in several of the writing scrutinies. It provides an easy, systematic method of performing the writing scrutiny, as a team.
