There are a series of pdf files taken from the Standards Site, which are to be used with higher ability pupils at KS3 and which replace the Extension Paper in the KS3 Test. QCA do not validate Level 8 in English. However, if you would find it useful to have an external opinion of any pupils who have been working on these materials, please contact Helen Matthews(see contact details below). The consultancy will assess and offer a certification to validate Level 8 in this ‘coursework’ which, of course, may support your Teacher Assessment in Reading or Writing (or both).
