Sir Robert Hitcham's Art and ICT pages
Created by Sir Robert Hitcham's Primary School in Suffolk, this site contains lesson ideas for effective ways of using ICT in art. These include abstract collages based on the work of local artist Phil Steam, and works inspired by Andy Warhol. The site also gives help and advice on the techniques used.

Guildhall Library and Art Gallery
This collection is devoted primarily to London topography and London Life from the 15th. Century to the present day. This is a database of some 20,000 works of art, which are grouped in categories such as - abstract ideas, archaeology & architecture, history, leisure, military & war, natural world, politics, religion & belief, society, trade & industry. Highlights show views of London, London's first railway, children in painting, landscapes & sea views, London Life, Victorian Painting Useful for linking art with other curriculum areas.

National Gallery
This is very comprehensive. It has good quality pictures with accompanying notes. What's on and when.

The Tate Galleries
Good quality pictures with details about the collection, exhibitions, a forum, plans for the galleries, touring exhibitions and art related merchandise.

The National Portrait Gallery
This is one of the biggest on-line galleries with over 10,000 works on view. You can see the most influential characters in British History portrayed by artists of their time. On-line shop sells wide variety of prints.

Art Teaching
This site is useful for pupils of all phases, it contains galleries, lesson plans, art terminology, project ideas. There are links to Galleries, reference sites, Art Colleges and Examination Boards.

Walkers Showcase
All schools are invited to submit to this internet gallery. The site displays work from pupils in Year1 to Sixth Formers.

www.12days.net
www.12days.net is the culmination of the 12 Days Project and showcases the work of children from one secondary, one junior, one infant and five primary schools in South Bristol. Using the traditional song The Twelve days of Christmas as their inspiration, the pupils have created twelve days of web art that combine digital artworks, paintings, illustrations, sculpture and animations. Each day between December 26th 2000 and January 6th 2001, a new piece of artwork becomes available, corresponding to each of the Twelve days of Christmas.

The 12 days project is a unique Art and ICT collaborative project that offers teachers and pupils the opportunity to explore the educational possibilities of digital production techniques and of the web as a creative medium.

kids' art
This web site is devoted to the display and appreciation of young artistic talent. This site, which is run by Arts’ enthusiasts, exhibit galleries of pupils’ work. It’s easy and free to publish your pictures and there are opportunities to win prizes.

An inspiring site. Worth a visit to view a gallery of work produced by pupils, from Years 5 and 10, in Dagenham and Barking.

The Case of Grandpa's Painting
Be an “art detective”. An interactive game with lots of information about art history and art composition. Features artists such as: Raphael, Titian, Millet, Van Gough, Gauguin, and Picasso.
