This year's annual BSCB Conference which took place on 24th April 2007 focused on the themes of emotional abuse and neglect.
The conference, at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, was attended by nearly 150 participants from a wide range of statutory and voluntary sector organisations. Participants heard key note presentations from eminent academics, Professor Dorota Iwaniec and Professor Olive Stevenson. The debates were further informed by a range of workshops covering different elements of emotional abuse and neglect.

The training sub group will begin the process of planning for the BSCB Conference 2008 in the autumn, flyers advertising the conference will be available by the end of November.
