Bursaries

Higher Education Bursary

A bursary is extra financial help for students from the university or college they attend. This money does not have to be paid back. A bursary could be given in a variety of ways – for instance, cash or discounted accommodation costs. Many colleges / universities are offering more non-repayable bursaries. Eligibility depends on the university / college you go to and the course you choose. You need to check with the individual institution as they are all offering different bursaries. However, if you are paying the full £3145 tuition fees and receive the full £2835 maintenance grant, your university / college has to provide a bursary of at least £310 – many institutions will provide more than the minimum. You do not have to repay the bursary.
