The LA provides a range of specialist support services which are available to schools to provide advice and expertise and, in some cases, to work with individual pupils where a specific need has been shown to exist. All of these services are directly available to schools and some, particularly the Educational Welfare Service, Portage and the Educational Psychology Service also work directly with parents.
