The LA has a statutory duty towards children with special educational needs. The way in which it aims to fulfill this is set out in the City Council's SEN Policy, Special Educational Needs Policy. Reference should also be made to the Council's Inclusive Education Policy. Guidance for schools on all issues relating to children who are considered to have special educational needs is set out in The Bristol SEN Manual. Hard copies of the manual are available in all schools, or it can be viewed and printed via the link on the left.
