Annualised hours provide a flexible and transparent system of working. This section provides detailed information and guidance on how to introduce annualised hours for support staff. The guidance has been agreed with the trade unions.
It is recommended that for any new staff you appoint, annualised hours should be the contractual terms and conditions. The guidance notes provide details of the posts that it can apply to. It is also recommended that you review your existing arrangements.
Please note that for existing staff, they can also be transferred to these arrangements but only if consensual agreement is reached with the employees.
