Bristol is one of a number of local authorities taking part in a project funded by the Department of Children Schools and Families to work with Parentline Plus to pilot new ways of improving parents’ access to telephone services.
This is an exciting opportunity to really improve the services we can offer any parent. Many Bristol parents have told us that they want to see more 1-to-1 advice services available in relation to a range of parenting issues such as: managing children’s behaviour; dealing with bullying; health issues; addressing worries about school and learning.
Extended telephone support (ETS) is an individual, one to one service with up to six hour long telephone calls, delivered at a time negotiated and convenient to the parent. For more information about this service, please see the ETS for Practitioners and ETS for Parents documentsto the left.
