1Big Database is the on-line directory of services, organisations and groups for children and young people aged 0 to 19 and their parents and carers in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol and South Gloucestershire. A number of local partners have worked together to develop this directory to provide one place where information on services is accessible for children, young people, families and those who work with them.
It is expected that all services provided by Children and Young People’s Services will be included on 1Big Database and that information about these services will be kept up to date.
Is your service on 1Big Database?
- Check if your service is there by using the search available at the link to the right
If your service is already on 1Big Database……
- Are the details up to date, including contacts and web links?
- Are you registered for on-line updating?
- If you are not currently registered for on-line updating but already on 1Big Database please contact Richard Talbot at the Children and Young People’s Information Service (0845 129 7217) for a log-in and password.
- Is someone designated to check the details on a regular basis?
- Make sure the ‘Aims’ of the service are specific and helpful (it is the first line of this that will be shown about the service when a search is undertaken)
If your service is not on 1Big Database………
Use the simple two-step on-line process to register:
- Complete a brief on-line form that will be submitted to the moderator to ensure the service is suitable
- The moderator will supply you with a log-in and password to then complete the detailed on-line form about the service
Once registered you will be able to log-in and change details whenever you need to and you will receive annual alerts advising you to check the entry is still correct.
