The Education of Children Looked After Service (ECLAS) aims to improve the life chances of looked after children by supporting and promoting their educational achievement. We know how important a stable foster placement is and one of our priorities is to help foster carers to support the education of the young people they look after.
We operate a foster care advice line Monday-Friday between 9.00am and 4.30pm. Carers can talk to experienced and helpful ECLAS teachers. We are especially trying to help young people who are underachieving, are not attending school or are excluded but we will give advice on all educational issues. .
