Primary Review Consultation

The Primary Review Consultation period has now closed. The Council would like to thank all the individuals and organisations who took the time to respond to our invitation.

Your responses have helped shape the amended proposals that will be considered by Bristol's Cabinet on 25th September 2008. The Cabinet report will also include a summary of all responses made.

This page is temporarily retained for information only - please do not send further responses to this consultation exercise as they cannot be considered.

The Primary Review is “about meeting the needs of parents and carers, transforming the environments in which pupils learn, securing robust leadership in primary schools of a manageable size and helping to regenerate communities.”
(Heather Tomlinson, Director, Children, Young People and Skills).

We have set out our vision of how this will be achieved in the Primary Review Recommendations Report. We now need your contribution. How can we improve outcomes for children and young people further?

On this page you will find links to:

(a) The CYPS “Primary Review Recommendations May 2008” report in PDF format.

(b) The "Primary Review response sheet" (in RTF or “rich text format”).

Please download the response sheet to your own PC by right-clicking on the link, choose "Save target as", and save the file onto your PC. The response sheet should open in most word processing packages. You can then fill it in and email it to primary.review@bristol.gov.uk or print it and send by post to :
