Vision and Outcomes
Families who are having problems receive the support they need to resolve their difficulties, resulting in fewer children in care. Children who are in care experience a good, settled placement that is right for that individual. They have a consistent adult to relate to throughout their life, and a place at a good school where they are helped to become a confident and successful learner. They are supported well out of school, and given a say about when they want to move on from care and the support they need to do so safely. Children in care have their voices heard, and their views influence and change the services they receive.
Improvement Priorities
- Improve the health of children in care and care leavers
- Keep children in care and care leavers safe
- Improve the standards of educational attainment achieved by children in care and care leavers
- Improve positive participation in the community of children in care
- Improve the economic well-being of children in care and care leavers
- Strengthen family support, particularly for children most at risk of becoming children in care, and support for foster carers
The above forms the basis of performance reporting across the Bristol Children and Young People’s Partnership. Quarterly risk and highlight monitoring and report cards will be centred around these outcomes and improvement priorities.
Quarterly report cards can be downloaded from the list below. They are all in pdf format.
