Bristol City Council is required to carry out a citywide childcare survey every 3 years to help us continuously improve current childcare provision, and to plan services for the future. We need to plan and support good quality provision, in order to ensure that there is sufficient childcare to meet the needs of all parents, and particularly those who want to work or study.
The survey is known as the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment and will help us to identify the gap between the supply and demand for childcare in Bristol
We want to listen to the views of parents, childcare providers, employers and other partners who have an interest in ensuring that there is good quality, accessible and affordable childcare in Bristol, for all children, wherever they live in the city.
The results of the survey will be published on the Bristol City Council website early next year with a draft Action Plan for your comments. The report of the survey we carried out in 2008 is available.
The questionnaires are available on the right of this page - please complete as many as are appropriate - eg: you may be a parent AND an employer.
All completed entries will be entered into a prize draw
Thank you for your help.
